EDITOR’S LETTER Dear Readers W e are facing one of the most challenging events of our lifetime. The pace at which we have needed to change our day-to-day routines in both our professional and business lives has threatened to send many of us into a tailspin. Yet through this, a sense of unity has been rising. A sense of honour, strength, resilience and faith has been growing faster than this awful virus. Pride in our community, caring for those who need us the most and never leaving a man behind is what the true Anzac spirit is all about. I’m Amy Harvey, and while many of you do not know who I am, I have been the Managing Director of Retail Media for almost a decade, and my family has owned this company for more than 20 years. As a small, family run business I thought it would be good to reach out to those of you who have had to change your business model overnight, providing a caring and supportive environment for staff who fear for their livelihoods while juggling every day to keep your business alive. To all of you, I say: we are here to support you, stand by you and above all, to thank you for everything that you are doing for all of us in the community. For 73 years, Retail World has been with you every step of the way, and we will continue to be here. This is our first digital edition of Retail World as we too have had to adapt to the changing environment. However, with the help of our wonderful retailers who were able to help us with this edition, as well as the support by our majors, we have been able to keep this important communication channel open for all of you. I am so proud of my family at Retail World, and we hope that all who support us know we are here for you whenever you need us. Please be safe and know that on this Anzac Day we include you among those that we salute as our Anzac heroes. Thank you. Amy Harvey Managing Director, Retail Media 2 RETAIL WORLD APR, 2020
