The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland Branch
has donated 200 teddy bears to the Children’s Hospital
Foundation, in hopes to put smiles on the children’s faces.
Earlier on in the year the Australian Pharmacy Professional
Conference (APP) was forced to be postponed due to
the current social restrictions. The teddy bears, which are
usually utilised as prizes for the delegates, are now in
well-deserving hands.

To help fast-track the country’s economic resurgence, the
Australian Made Campaign (AMCL) is calling on Australia’s
business community and all levels of government to adopt
‘buy Australian first’ procurement policies. Although the
federal government’s recent commitment to support an
increase in the domestic manufacturing of critical products
such as medical supplies is a good start, AMCL says it
believes more can be done.

To help meet national demand Unilever Australia & New
Zealand will start producing hand sanitiser locally. The new
150ml aerosol hand sanitiser, contains 70 per cent alcohol
and is claimed to kill 99.99 per cent of germs without water.
The hand sanitiser will be produced in NSW, marking the
return of Lifebuoy’s local production to Australia.

Sukin is donating $1 million worth of personal care products,
including its new antibacterial hand sanitiser, to support the
fight against the spread of COVID-19. Sukin is donating from
its range of natural hand sanitiser gels and sprays as well as
a selection of other personal care items that have been in
high demand, such as hand wash, body wash, shampoo and
conditioner to Children’s Ground, Foodbank Victoria and Save
the Children.
